The Association for the Study and Diagnosis of Neuropsychiatric Disorders is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent organisation based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
Raising awareness of the impact of neuropsychiatric disorders on the general population, promoting their diagnosis and treatment, and supporting research in the field.
Neuropsychiatric disorders sit at the border between neurology and psychiatry, and this intermediate position often means they are recognised late. A patient may pass through several specialties before the clinical picture is read correctly, and the time lost translates into disease course and quality of life.
This is why diagnosis is the first word in the association's name and the axis around which we organise our work: diagnostic tools, training for physicians, information for patients, and research to support all of these.
Two psychiatrists and a neurologist — precisely the border on which neuropsychiatric disorders lie.

In the Romanian medical system, physicians hold the grade of medic specialist after completing residency, and may advance by examination to medic primar — the senior grade — after at least five further years of practice.
